“want to go to college for being an astronaut“
…..my favorite presenter from the NASA program was Benjamin Alvin Drew Jr. Mr. Alvin was in astronaut group XVII in 2000. He was my favorite presenter because his presentation was the most interesting and inspiring. My favorite part was when he showed us the video of him actually going into space and all the things he did in space. I want to be an astronaut because I think it will be a good job for me because I like to engineer and explore new things. I also want to be an astronaut because of all the work I will get to do. I also would like to see how it was living in space and how it was like to be up there for two whole weeks. I have a couple of questions that I would like to go to space and figure out myself. I would ask questions like, what type of food did they get to eat was it dried food or regular food? He also inspired me to actually want to go to college for being an astronaut. The most important thing to me is when he said he wanted to give up on being an astronaut but he had lots of people that believed in him and wanted him to presume his dreams. Mr. Benjamin Alvin Drew Jr is the man who inspired me.
“want to be an engineer or entrepreneur“
…..I mostly Loved the Man (Mr. Lou Mayo) that came her(e) and studied space exploration and constellations. He had us do a debate about life on other planets but I had fun anyway being on the team I didn’t want to fight for. I think with him being a scientist and talking about the future makes me want to be an engineer or entrepreneur and doing good for the community.
“go into a Science and Engineering major“
…..my favorite was Mr. Drew showed me it does matter where you from you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. He also showed me just by motivation of people you can do what you want to do. Mr. Drew made science interesting. I might go into a Science and Engineering major. He is my role model. I want to grow up to be just like him. Thanks Mr. Drew.
“it does not matter where you’re from you can accomplish anything“
…..Sure Mr. Benjamin Alvin Drew has accomplished many wonderful things, but none as well as going to space. He also risked his life by going to space. Another reason he inspired is because he came up in Washington DC specifically the Brooklyn (Brookland) area. That shows me that it does not matter where you’re from you can accomplish anything. He did stop believing a couple of times but he still pushed through. Now he got to shake hands with the President. In Conclusion, Mr. Benjamin Alvin Drew is very inspiring to me in many ways; that’s why this was my favorite visit. I hope Mr. Benjamin Alvin Drew comes to visit next year.
“not to give up and stay pressing towards my dream“
…..Mr. Benjamin Alvin Drew,Jr. He was an astronaut who actually went to space and was there for about 8 weeks . What inspired me the most was when he said that many times in his life he wanted to give up on his dream of becoming an astronaut but he had people in his life like his parents, teachers, and friends that were telling him never to give up on his dreams because there was so many thing that he could do with his life. He kept on pressing for his dreams with those words of encouragement he served in the air force. Another reason he inspired me was he had so many thing that could have set back his life but did he let it set back his dreams. It was easy for him to give on but did he not so he inspired me not to give up and stay pressing towards my dream.
“hard work but I would like to try it“
…..Space seemed interesting to me because of looking at earth from a different perspective. He (Mr. Benjamin Alvin Drew) did space walks that seemed fun and putting on the modules to build the space stations more is hard work but I would like to try it.
