FAMESTM | Finance, Arts and STEM: The Inaugural Afterschool STEM Summit was held at the Ronald Reagan Building, Washington, DC. It brought together more than 500 people from all 50 states. Afterschool STEM programs allow a venue for active STEM learning for youth, a concept FAMESTM has advocated since 2006. The speakers included Dr. John B. King, Jr., Deputy Secretary of Education and soon to be the Secretary of Education, The Honorable Katherine Clark, U.S. House of Representatives, Massachusetts, and Nebraska State Senator Adam Morfeld.
