FAMESTM | Finance, Arts and STEM: FAMESTM attended DC STEM Network’s inaugural STEM Summit STEM City: Capital for the Future, held at Gallaudet University on 5 November 2015. About 350 participants attended the event from education, policy, STEM-rich institutions, government and industry. We met with many of the DC STEM leaders and representatives from the Office of the State Superintendent of Education. We also met with some of the DC educators. We discussed their STEM needs during the school year and offered to provide assistance and subject matter experts to educators to teach a specific STEM subject. FAMES will provide classroom support to DC educators starting in 2016.
