FAMES® | Finance, Arts, and STEM: FAMES® stem-after-school program ‘Launched Among the Stars’ @BGCGW #14 with NASA GSFC SOLC game-based learning continues with Space Communication module. This module teaches space and deep space communication, including the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS). We invited NASA Aerospace Engineer and a Pilot, @Bruce Milam as our role model speaker to talk to the students at @BGCGW #14 about Space and Laser Communication. They learned about TDRSS and a new technology, the Laser Communications Relay Demonstration (LCRD). LCRD is a NASA mission to use laser light to transfer data from orbit to ground and all around the Solar System. The students enjoyed learning about NASA communications.
