Dr. Adam Drobot is a technologist with 40 years of wide-ranging experience and expertise as a hands-on manager and a technical participant in multiple fields. He serves as the Chairman of FAMES®. Dr. Drobot focuses his knowledge of basic and applied science and management skills on high technology business opportunities for mature and start-up companies. Most recently he served as the Chair of the IEEE IoT Activities Board responsible for the IEEE Internet of Things Initiative and previously Chaired the IEEE Employee Benefits and Compensation Committee. He also serves on the Boards of several non-profits and commercial companies that include: OpenTechWorks, Inc., Stealth Software Technologies, Inc., and Advanced Green Machines (AGCM). He is a member of the Department of Physics Advisory Council at the University of Texas at Austin, and on the FCC Technology Advisory Council. Previously he held senior executive positions at SAIC, Telcordia and 2M Companies. Throughout his career, Dr. Drobot has been an active advocate for STEM education.
Dr. Drobot holds a B.A. in Engineering Physics from Cornell University and Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Fellow of the American Physics Society.
